Sailor
Whitney is a General Partner, specializing in telecommunications
and e-commerce industries. He has been a Director and Advisor
with Astracon, Geneva Technology, Locus Telecommunications,
Axiom Systems, NextGenTel, qarana..., Homestore.com (Nasdaq: HOMS),
and StepStone (LSE:SSO; OSE:STP.OL). Previously, Whitney was
a Director of Marketing at Open Market, Inc., Manager of Business
Development for The Times Mirror Company, and an Associate
with TA Associates. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School and a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University, both
with Honors.
Whitney grew up sailing in Maine and since then, has set sail off the
Turkish coast, the Caribbean and Scandinavia.
